Marian Dimanchev was born in Sofia Bulgaria on August 13, 1962. He was the second of two children. He graduated from a Russian High School in Bulgaria and went to study engineering at the university of Lvov, Ukraine. He spent his career developing new inventions and working on innovative projects. Marian came to Canada in 2012 with the goal of obtaining a PhD in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Calgary. After obtaining his degree after years of struggles, he soon became sick and was diagnosed with MDS. His condition worsened and unfortunately he passed away on April 9, 2019 after spending 4 hard fought months in the hospital. His strong spirit permitted him to go far beyond the expectancy for his condition.
Marian was an incredible father, husband and friend. He was always willing and ready to help anyone in any way he could. He was an intelligent and highly gifted man who radiated goodness and positivity and often made everyone laugh. His legacy will be kept alive and his life will be honoured. He meant so much to many people and he touched many with his goodness and kindness. He was taken away from us too soon and the pain from his passing is immense and indescribable. Marian was a true ray of sunshine, an incredible husband and a doting father. His presence will be greatly missed. To Donate Follow the link to Ottawa’s website and use the DONATE button.
