On March 7 at 5:00pm, at Bankview Community Hall, 2418 - 17 Street SW(Checkout the map!), we will commemorate the International day of the Woman.
The program will include:
- Musical performances on piano and violion by youth and children from the ages of 7 to 21.
- Svetla Minkova will read her poetry.
- the rescently formed bulgarian choir will perform several bulgarian folk songs.
- The dancers, Stefanie Djurkova and Mathew Mihailovski, will showcase their talents with the Cha-Cha, Jive and Rumba.
We would like to invite you to sing and dance with us!

The Calgary Bulgarian Society is sponsoring a concert of the pianist, Emilia Tsaneva on
March 6, 2010 at 6:30pm at St. Andrew's United Church, 924 Heritage Drive SW.(Checkout the map!)
The concert will be free, but the board of directors would like to ask and encourage everyone attending to donate to the families of Dimitar Botev and
Mihail Atanasov, who died in a tragic car accident recently.
The Board of Directors of the Calgary Bulgarian Society wish to express their regrets to the families of Dimitar Botev and Michail Atanasov,
who died on February 3 in a car accident in British Columbia, close to Revelstoke.
We invite all Bulgarians to donate to the two families and support them during this extremely difficult time.
1. Donations can be deposited to a account #0010-8348-535 at the Bank of Montreal until the end of March.

3. The Bulgarian Organization in Calgary is organizing a free concert by piano player Emilia Tsaneva to celebrate March 3rd.
Donations shall be collected during the concert and the collected funds shall be donated to the families of Mitko and Misho.
The concert shall take place at st. Andrew's United Church, 924 Heritage Drive S.W. at 6.30 p. m. on March 6th.
4. Personal cheques, written to Calgary Bulgarian Society (RE:Emergency Relief) will be accepted at the Bulgarian school
(Bankview Community Association, 2418-17th Street SW) on February 6, between 2 and 5pm,
or send to any of the members of the Board of the Directors.
5. Additional funds shall be provided to the families next month from our Casino Account after the approval by the Edmonton committee.
In the next couple of days we will provide detailed information for the account where individual donations can be deposited, as well as information about the date and the place for the church service in memory of the deceased.
